KMA Junction is family-owned
and operated. Like many of us, Steve Fortes' interest in trains
began with a starter set he received for Christmas when he was
a boy. When Steve married Fran many years later, she encouraged
him to take up the hobby again.
Fran & Steve opened their shop in March of 1994. Manassas has
been a railroad town since pre-Civil War times when construction
of the Orange & Alexandria and Manassas Gap railroads was completed
in the 1850s. Fran and Steve chose this spot in historic Manassas
because they can see real trains go by when they look out the window.
People who come by the shop would also enjoy visiting the area.
The atmosphere is friendly and inviting at KMA Junction. Fran and
Steve want their customers to feel comfortable coming in and browsing
and asking as many questions as they like. Fran and Steve care
about their customers, as you can tell by the regulars that stop
by to shop and sometimes just to chat.

Directions
Directions From I-95, exit at Rte 234 and go North for approximately
10 miles. Turn right onto Dumfries Road. Watch for the railroad
underpass in Manassas. After the underpass, turn left at the 2nd
traffic light (there is a 7-11 on the right). Go about 3/4 mile
to the Cavalry Village Shopping Center on the right just past Cardinal
Bank. We're directly across from Southern States.
or Instead of
turning onto Dumfries Road, remain straight; 234 turns into the
234 bypass. Turn right onto Rte 28 North (Nokesville Road). Follow
28 approximately 2 miles, then turn left into the Cavalry Village
Shopping Center.
From Rte 66, exit at Rte 28 South in Centreville
and go approximately 9 miles to the south end of Old Town Manassas.
Watch for the Cavalry Village Shopping Center on the right just
past Cardinal Bank. We're directly across from Southern States.
